City of Arden Hills Chapter 13 Zoning Code <br /> Subd. 86 Hospital. An institution licensed by the state department of health, providing <br /> primary health services and medical or surgical care, to sick or injured persons, primarily <br /> inpatients. May include related facilities such as laboratories, outpatient facilities, or training <br /> facilities. (Added 7114110) <br /> Subd. 87 Hotel/motel. Any building, or group of buildings, having five (5) or more guest <br /> rooms intended or designed to be rented or hired out to be occupied, or which are occupied <br /> for sleeping purposes by transient guests. (Revised 7114110) <br /> Subd. 88 House of worship. A place of worship or religious assembly and its accessory <br /> facilities used by the congregation such as the following: rectory, meeting hall, offices for <br /> administration of the institution, licensed child or adult daycare, playground, or cemetery. A <br /> house of worship does not include buildings or uses used exclusively for residential, schools, <br /> recreational, commercial, or other uses not normally associated with worship. (Revised <br /> 7114110) <br /> Subd. 89 Household. The person or persons occupying a single dwelling unit. A <br /> household may consist of a single family, one (1) person living alone, two (2) or more <br /> families living together or any group of related or un-related persons who share living <br /> arrangements. <br /> Subd. 90 Industry. Uses such as the manufacturing, compounding, processing, packaging, <br /> treatment, assembling or warehousing of products and materials. <br /> Subd. 91 Junkyard. An open area where waste, used or second-hand materials are bought, <br /> sold, exchanged, stored, baled, packed, disassembled or handled, including but not limited to, <br /> scrap iron and other metals, paper, rags, rubber, tires and bottles. A junkyard includes a <br /> vehicle wrecking yard but does not include uses established entirely within enclosed <br /> buildings. <br /> Subd. 92 Landscape lot area. That portion of a lot required to remain as open space, free of <br /> buildings,parking and drives. <br /> Landscape lot areas may consist of <br /> A. Naturally vegetated areas, <br /> B. Wetlands or ponding areas, <br /> C. Planting beds, ground cover and mulch areas (vegetative, rock, bark chip, <br /> etc.), <br /> D. Decorative walkways and areas not to exceed fifteen percent (15%) of the <br /> required landscape lot area, and <br /> E. Outdoor recreation areas. <br /> Page 9 of 84 <br />
