MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: <br /> January 20, 2009 <br />TO: <br /> Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: <br /> Ron Moorse, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Planning For Town Hall Meeting(s) <br />Background <br />The Council has held periodic Town Hall meetings in various formats, including one large city- <br />wide gathering, and several smaller “neighborhood” gatherings. The Council has directed the <br />Town Hall meeting(s) for 2009 be held in the spring. The specific timing of the meeting(s) <br />needs to be determined, so that Council and staff can reserve the dates on their calendars; and the <br />format and objectives need to be determined, so that we can begin to prepare for the meetings. <br />Council Direction Requested <br />1.Determine date(s) for the Town Hall meeting(s) <br />2.Determine the meeting format <br />3. <br />Clarify the objectives of the meeting(s) <br />
