ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—March 14, 2011 10
9. Council Comments (continued) -
Mayor Grant stated the City has been awarded the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
(CAFR) award and the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) award for excellence in
accounting. The City is also in contention for the award in budgeting. This is a prestigious award
and the City would like to thank the Finance Department for their hard work. The formal
presentation of this award will be in 8-10 weeks.
Mayor Grant stated, in response to the questions raised during the public inquiries section, the
Vikings are in the press and a potential stadium in Arden Hills is out there. There is not a specific
plan, but Arden Hills does view themselves as a potential site. Beyond this there is not anything
new to report to the residents. Mr. Larson does have a lot of time invested in the development of
the mixed-use proposal for the TCAAP property. He assured residents that the Council has not
had meetings behind closed doors and when there is something specific it will be addressed by the
City. The residents have stated they do not want the City to spend a lot of time and money on
potential project. He clarified the Public Inquiries/Informational section of the meeting is not a
time for debate.
ADJOURN
MOTION.
