The old 1998 Dump Truck is one of twa currently in the City fleet. The other is a 1997 rnodel. The 1998 Dump Truck is being xeplaced firs� because af a significant investment t�at was zx�ade in tk�e 1997 Dump Truck in 2010. Minnesota Coo erative Purchasin Venture CPV The City of Arden Hills currently rrzaintains a free membership in the Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Venture Prog�raz�. Tk�is aliows the Ciry to participa�e in State specifications and bxd prices, resulting in the City o£ Axden Hzl�s payiz�g the same amo�nt for a single piece of equipment as the State does for numerous pieces. Proposed Dump Trnck With PIawlWin�ISander Sta�tf is recomrnending purchase of an International chassis from As�leford International Trucks in Minneapalis. Astleford has the Staie contract for this style of International trucks. International was chosen for a couple of reasons; Ra�nsey County has been converting their fleet to International plow trucks since Sterling left the rnarket, also because Ramsey County's flee� is �eing converted to International they stock many parts. In an emergency we could get a part from their supply hasiening a repair. Outfitiing the truck with a du�p box, plowing and sanding equipment is recommended to be done by Towmaster Triack Equipment of Litchfield who has the State contract for this work.
