EN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: May 17, 2011 <br />TO: Parks Trails and Recreation Committee <br />FROM: Michelle Olson, Parks and Recreation Manager <br />SUBJECT: Capital Improvement Program <br />Requested Action <br />Staff is asking for the PTRC to review the proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) <br />Projects for 2012 -2016 and give feedback on any changes or potential additions. <br />Background <br />One of the ongoing goals for the PTRC is to recommend enhancements for the 5 year Capital <br />Improvement Program. Staff has begun the process to identify projects for the 5 year CIP. <br />Attached is the first draft of potential projects for 2012 -2016. Below is a summary year by year <br />of projects. Detailed sheets for each project are attached for the committee to review. <br />2012 <br />*Basketball- Tennis Court Rehabilitation - $15,000 <br />Park Bench Implementation (3`d year of 4) - $5,000 <br />Mounds View HS Trail Connection (Placed here for discussion) - $105,000 <br />*Forestry Implementation Plan - $10,000 <br />Park Amenities (trail signage or create separate project ?) - $5,000 <br />*Trail Rehabilitation - $50,000 <br />Hazelnut Irrigation - $18,000 <br />Old Snelling Avenue Trail — Legacy Grant - $475,258 <br />2013 <br />*Basketball- Tennis Court Rehabilitation - $15,000 <br />Park Bench Implementation (final year) - $5,000 <br />*Forestry Implementation Plan - $10,000 <br />Park Amenities - $5,000 <br />*Trail Rehabilitation - $20,000 <br />West Round Lake Trail - $120,000 (Has been in CIP, needs discussion) <br />05172011 Capital Improvement Program 12-16.doc <br />
