,2C <br />ARpENHILLS <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -033 <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE FIRE PROTECTION SERVICE CONTRACT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS AND THE <br />LAKE JOHANNA FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills entered into a Fire Protection Service <br />Contract ( "Contract ") with the Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. <br />( "Fire Department "), approved by Resolution No. 98 -68, adopted on November <br />30, 1998; <br />WHEREAS, the Contract was effective January 1, 1999, through <br />December 31, 2003; and <br />WHEREAS, in Resolution 07 -62 the City extended the Contract for a five <br />year term from January 1, 2004, through December 31, 2008; and <br />WHEREAS, the Contract requires that prior to the renewal of the Contract <br />for the Extension Term January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2013, the City of <br />Arden Hills must pass a resolution by three affirmative votes expressing the <br />City's intent to extend the term of the Contract, and communicate such resolution <br />in writing to the Fire Department at least one year prior to the end of the <br />Contract; and <br />WHEREAS, City of Arden Hills intended to renew the Contract prior to its <br />expiration on December 31, 2008; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Arden Hills City Council <br />that the City of Arden Hills intended to, and hereby does, renew the Contract with <br />the Fire Department for the term of January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2013. <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />THIS 27TH DAY OF JUNE, 2011. <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br />s f�, <br />David Grant, Mayor <br />
