EN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: July 6, 2011 <br />TO: Planning Commission <br />FROM: Meagan Beekman, City Planner <br />SUBJECT: Report from the City Council <br />PC Agenda Item 5.A <br />June 13, 2011, City Council Meeting <br />The City Council unanimously voted to grant a three -year extension to the Traverse Business <br />Center. The Planning Commission did not review this extension because it did not involve an <br />amendment to the development plan, only the development agreement. <br />The City Council unanimously approved Planning Case 11 -013 to amend Section 1320.04, Subd. <br />1 and add Section 1320.075 to the Zoning Code to regulate school uses in the R1 District. The <br />Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval for this item at their June 8, 2011 <br />meeting. <br />The City Council directed Staff to begin working towards updating the City's website. The <br />Community Development department will head -up the process; however, a small committee is <br />being formed that will help with the initial process of determining the process and scope of work. <br />June 27, 2011, City Council Meeting <br />The City Council unanimously voted to approve Planning Case 11 -010 to amend the Zoning <br />Code to allow detached garages in the front yards of lakeshore lots under certain circumstances. <br />The Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval for this item at their June <br />8, 2011, meeting. <br />The City Council unanimously voted to approve Planning Case 11 -011 for a Preliminary and <br />Final plat, Master and Final PUD, and Zoning Code Amendment to allow the subdivision of the <br />former Holiday Inn property and the reuse of the existing building as an assisted senior housing <br />facility.
