Followig tke June 13 City Coucx discussion, I have
requesied that the Community Developrrent Director talce the lead in moving this
"website upgrade" project forward.
City Staff has talked about the need for a website upgrade numerous times over the past
year and is pleased that we have the "green light" to work on developing a proosal for
Council consideration. Staff believes it is important that we have a Council Liaison
involved in ihis projeci so ihat there is good communication with the Council on what is
happening on the project and so that Staff can receive feedback when some time sensitive
decisions need to be made. Tn this regard, Councilmember Tarrble has volunteered to be
the Council Liaison for this project. This appointment makes a lot of sense given Nick's
enthusiasm for tcchnology, social mdia, and improving the website plus taking into
consideration his role as Council Liaison for the Communications Comrnittee.
Recommendatio
It is recammended that the City Council appoint Councilmember Nick Tarnble as the
Council Liaison to tihe Staff vvebsite upgrade proj eclcommittee.
City Council Meeting
P:IAdninlCouncillAgendas & Packet Infarmation120 1 116-27-1 1 ReguIarlPacket InformationlWebsite Project Liaision.doc
Page 1 of 1
