-�� HILLS CITY OF ARDEN HILLS COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2011-040 A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM FUNDING APPLICATION SUBMITTAL FOR AN OFF STREET SHARED USE TRAIL ON COUNTY ROAD E/LAKE JOHANNA BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills proposes to construct an off street shared use trail on County Road E and Lake Johanna Boulevard from the County Road E bridge to Tony Schmidt Regional Park and the Elmer L. Andersen Memorial Trail; and WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills approved a 2030 Comprehensive Plan, which includes this segment as a proposed improvement; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement within Tony Schmidt Regional Park is consistent with the Park Master Plan that was approved by the City of Arden Hills, Ramsey County Board of Commissioners and the Metropolitan Council; and WHEREAS, the improvement will benefit the City of Arden Hills, Ramsey County, Mn/DOT, nearby universities, and local businesses; and WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills accepts responsibility for an amount equal or greater than 20 percent of the eligible project construction and right -of -way acquisition costs, together with the cost for design, administration, and peripheral project costs; and WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is committed to year -round operation and maintenance of the proposed off -road shared use trail on County Road E /Lake Johanna Boulevard and commits to maintaining this facility for the useful life of the improvement. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The City of Arden Hills supports the application for Federal Transportation Funding through the Transportation Enhancement Program for an off street shared use trail on County Road E /Lake Johanna Boulevard and is committed to completing this project if funding is provided.
