ENHILLS <br />Approved: August 8, 2011 <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 27, 2011 <br />7 :00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor David Grant called to order the regular City <br />Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. <br />Present: Mayor David Grant; Councilmembers Fran Holmes, Brenda Holden, Ed <br />Werner and Nicholas Tamble. <br />Absent: None. <br />Also present: City Administrator Patrick Klaers; City Attorney Jerry Filla; Director of <br />Finance and Administrative Services Sue Iverson; Community Development Director Jill <br />Hutmacher; City Planner Meagan Beekman; Public Works Director Terry Maurer; and <br />Recording Secretary Tina Borg. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to Approve the Agenda as presented. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5 -0). <br />2. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL <br />A. 2010 Audit Presentation <br />Mr. Aaron Neilson, Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, Radosevich & Co., PA (MMKR), stated the <br />City's 2010 Financial Statements have been completed and submitted to both the State Auditor <br />and the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). The <br />auditors have issued an unqualified ( "clean ") opinion on the City's financial statements for the <br />year ended December 31, 2010. The City has completed the report in the form prescribed by the <br />GFOA for their Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. In order to <br />qualify for this, the report has to be published in an easily readable and efficiently organized <br />Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) that satisfies both accounting principles <br />generally accepted in the United States of America and applicable legal requirements.
