In conversations vvith Councilmembers earlier this year, this 2010 union/non-union wage <br />adjust�rient discrepancy is what the Council wanted to try ta "correct" in 2Q11. This possibiliYy <br />was discussed during the Union contract negotiations so thai there would be no suiprises after a <br />settlement was reached. At the March 2ISt Work Session, Councilmember wanted to kriow what <br />the surraunding citi�s were doing and how �v� compared. <br />Tk►e following chart o� "non.-exempt increases" shows the cities in the area tha� responded to our <br />request, but there zs n.o "apple-io-apple" comparison. Palice az�d Public warks <br />each had a one-yeaz contract with 2% incxeases for 20 X I, Fzxe has a two-year <br />con�ract vvith a 1.5% increase both in 2411 and 2012, and the non-union received <br />1.5%.
