ARE.,,1 HILLS <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />PARKS, TRAILS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING — TRAIL WALK <br />TUESDAY, AUGUST 16, 2011— 5:00 p.m. <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br />CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chair Scott called the August 16, 2011, meeting of the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Committee to <br />order at 5:20 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Steve Scott, John Peck, Nancy O'Malley, Harold Petersen, and <br />Chuck Michaelson. <br />OTHERS PRESENT: Park and Recreation Manager Michelle Olson. <br />ABSENT: Committee Members Cindy Garretson, Phil Kramlinger, Don Messerly, Rich Straumann <br />(All excused), and Council Liaison Ed Werner (excused). <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Parks and Recreation Manager added under 3.A. - Evaluation explanation. <br />MOTION: Committee Member Peck motioned to approve the agenda as amended, seconded by <br />Committee Member O'Malley. The motion carried unanimously (5 -0). <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — June 21, 2011 <br />MOTION: Committee Member Petersen motioned to approve the June 21, 2011 minutes, <br />seconded by Committee Member O'Malley. The motion carried unanimously (5 -0). <br />3. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Trail Walk <br />Parks and Recreation Manager Olson explained the evaluation forms and the spreadsheet of <br />trail segments. The official business meeting adjourned to go on a City trail walk. <br />B. Other New Business <br />None <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />MOTION: Committee Member Michaelson motioned to adjourn to a trail walk at 5:35 p.m., <br />seconded by Committee Member O'Malley. The motion carried unanimously (5 -0) <br />NEXT MEETING <br />Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. <br />
