This section is 1,250 feet(0.24 miles). There is an existing guard rail for approximately half of this section,625 feet,that will <br /> need to be relocated in order to construct a 6-foot concrete sidewalk. <br /> Stormwater will also need to be considered and adressed at any portions of the sidewalk where drainage patterns would change due to an <br /> elevated sidewalk. <br /> Estimated costs: <br /> 1250 feet of 6'concrete sidewalk:$60,000 <br /> Relocation of guard rail: $25,000 <br /> Stormwater issues:$15,000 <br /> Engineering/Design: $15,000 <br /> Project costs do not include cost of retaining walls,which may be needed in some sections. <br /> Justification <br /> is is a busy road and is utilized daily by students from Mounds View High School. A petitition was brought to the City Council asking for <br /> onsideration of a trail in this area.
