The revisions to the Erosion and Sediment Control ordinance focus on the following: <br />■ Updating definitions for better clarification; <br />■ Including disturbed volume (any amount over 50 cubic yards) in addition to <br />disturbed area for better control over various types of land disturbance activities; <br />■ Reducing the minimum disturbed area from 10,000 square feet to 5,000 square <br />feet for better control over various types of land disturbance activities; <br />■ Including properties next to all surface waters (ponds, wetlands, streams, etc.), <br />not just within the shoreland area, to require a permit regardless of disturbed area <br />or volume; and, <br />■ Enhancing the enforcement tools for the City. <br />The revised ordinance is designed to be clearer and easier to enforce with a broader range <br />of tools.
