The segment is approximately <br />4,300 feet long, lies within a 2fl0-foot right-of-way and is a Municipal State Aid <br />Roadway (MSAS 111). Bridge 4627 is located at the south end of the segment <br />near TH 51. <br />The City retained I�imley-Horn to assist in an evaluation of the existing structure <br />(Bridge 4627), and provide a recommendation for rehabilitation or repiacement <br />of the stcucture and an estimates of the anticipated construction costs. Also <br />provided is a list of the anticipated permits for the bridge replacement alternarive. <br />The City is evaluating the roadway and trail components of the project. <br />Condition of the Existing Structure <br />Bridge 4627 is a concrete slab bridge spanning 20-feet oVer a drainage ditch and <br />was constructed in. 1926_ The structure carries Old Snelling Avenue vehicular <br />traffic over the Lake Josephine discharge channet that flows to Lake Johanna. <br />The bridge provides a roadway wi�th of 33-feet. <br />Annual safety inspections of the structure have beeh provided by Ramsey <br />County; the last inspection occurred in June 2009. We were also able to obtain <br />and review the bridge plans from the original construction.
