The motion carried unanimously
2. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL
Dave Chmiel, 1861 West Highway 96, referred to email communication he had sent the Council
regarding the US 10/Highway 96 improvement project. He restated his concerns regarding the
lack of a noise wall for his neighborhood and did not believe that MnDOT had reviewed and re-
analyzed all options regarding the requested noise wall. He questioned why MnDOT had offered
to build a noise wall for the Briarknoll neighborhood even though that area did not meet the cost
effectiveness standards. He did not believe the Council should grant Municipal Consent until the
noise wall issue is resolved for his neighborhood.
Katie Bach, 1861 West Highway 96, spoke in opposition to the Municipal Consent, and believed
that the recent MnDOT response is based on the original data.
