CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: September 9, 1996 <br /> TO: Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Cindy S.Walsh,Parks & Recreation Director <br /> SUBJECT: Finalization of Tennis Court Lease Agreement <br /> Background <br /> The Arden Hills#3 Homeowners Association contacted the City to inquire if the City would <br /> lease the tennis court area to the Association. The Association would be responsible for <br /> maintenance and use of the area. <br /> The City Council received a draft of the lease agreement at the August 19, 1996 Council work <br /> session. With the exception of a few minor changes,the lease appeared to be acceptable to the <br /> Council. <br /> Lease Agreement <br /> The association will pay the City of Arden Hills$10.00 annually to rent the facility. The lease <br /> agreement will be for a term of five years and will automatically renew for an additional five <br /> years unless either party gives written notice of cancellation at Ieast 12 months prior to <br /> termination of the initial five year lease. The Association will be responsible for the maintenance <br /> of the facility. The facility will be leased from the City in its present condition. All <br /> improvement costs will be the responsibility of the Association. <br /> A copy of the revised lease is enclosed for your review. The Association has had an opportunity <br /> to review the lease. Representatives from the Association will be in attendance at the City <br /> Council Meeting to answer any questions the Council may have. <br /> Recommendation <br /> Staff recommends approval of the Iease of the former s ttt to the Arden Hills#3 <br /> Homeowners Association.
