,-ARZEN�HILLS <br /> Approved: April 16, 2012 <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING <br /> MARCH 19,2012 <br /> 5:00 P.M. -ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor David Grant called to order the City <br /> Council Work Session meeting at 5:01 p.m. <br /> Present: Mayor David Grant, Council Members Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, Nick <br /> Tamble, and Ed Werner <br /> Absent: None. <br /> Also Present: City Administrator Patrick Klaers; Community Development Director Jill <br /> Hutmacher; City Planner Meagan Beekman; and Planning Commissioners Janet Stodola, <br /> Clayton Larson, Roberta Thompson, Angela Hames, and Andrew Holewa <br /> 1. ADOPT AGENDA <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a <br /> motion to approve the meeting agenda as presented. The motion carried <br /> unanimously (5-0). <br /> 2. AGENDA ITEMS <br /> A. Arden Village Review and Update <br /> City Planner Beekman presented the City Council with information on Arden Village. She <br /> explained that Sand Companies was the developer for the project and were seeking a letter of <br /> support for their 2012 tax credit application for the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency. The <br /> application deadline is late May. In preparation of this application, the developer requested an <br /> opportunity to speak with the Council and discuss the project in further detail. <br /> City Planner Beekman explained Arden Village is a 55-unit four-story building with workforce <br /> rental housing located at 1296 County Road F. The development would also include a tot lot <br /> playground and picnic area for residents. At the time of the approval a zoning code amendment <br />
