RAW <br /> C�I�NTY PARKi��►►ND R€ECEATIQN COMMEIESIE�N <br /> a E (p MINU(TES f ;` '(` <br /> - <br /> an <br /> E - <br /> X RAMSEY t NTY PARS A�NO R �REA ` <br /> North Va yKe Street <br /> �' Mapill [(. <br /> The regular meeting of the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Commission was <br /> called to order by Chair Pederson at 6:05 p.m., at Ramsey County Parks and <br /> Recreation Department, 2015 North Van Dyke Street, Maplewood, Minnesota. <br /> Members Present: Jack Ditmore, Deb Falkowski, Gale Pederson, Candy Petersen, <br /> Richard Straumann, Brian Tempas <br /> Members Absent: Phil Jenni, Sovatha Oum, Bryan Shirley <br /> Staff Present: Greg Mack, Jody Yungers <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> Mr. Straumann moved, seconded by Mr. Tempas, that the agenda of the Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission be approved with the addition of the 2011 Commission Work <br /> Program overview that was added after election of Commission Chair and Vice Chair. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> .Chair Pederson asked for a motion to approve the minutes of December 14, 2011. Ms. <br /> Petersen, seconded by Mr. Straumann, that the minutes of December 14, 2011 be <br /> approved as mailed. Motion carried. <br /> APPROVAL OF BY-LAWS <br /> Mr. Mack distributed copies of the Parks and Recreation Commission by-laws, noting <br /> that the Commission, by its enabling resolution, is required to annually approve its by- <br /> laws. Mr. Straumann moved, seconded by Mr. Tempas, that the Parks and Recreation <br /> Commission approve the 2012 by-laws. Motion carried. <br /> ELECTION OF COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR <br /> Ms. Petersen nominated Ms. Pederson to serve as Chair for 2012. Hearing no <br /> additional nominations, Ms. Petersen moved, seconded by Mr. Ditmore, that <br /> nominations be closed and a unanimous ballot be cast for Ms. Pederson as Chair. <br /> Motion carried. <br />
