Completing segments I1 and I2 from County Road E to County Road E2 is estimated to cost$975,000. This is itemized on its own due to the City applying for Legacy Funding. To complete the rest of the I segment 3,from County Road E2 to Highway 96(going with the west side),it could be an additional$1.5 million dollars. The City could potentially seek federal funding assistance for this corridor. Segment I: (51 to Cty Road E) -Identified in project 12-str-007 Segment I1 and I2: (Cty Rd E to Cty Rd E2)$975,000-Legacy Funding Application-Not included with this improvement as it was applied for on its own. Se ent 13: (Cty Rd E2 to Highway 96)$1,500,000 Justification The PTRC has identified this trail in it's 2006 Strategies as a priority. It is identified as a key north-south regional connection. The Snelling Avenue PMP reconstruction has currently no set date for reconstruction. That project may factor into when that portion of trail is constructed. Staff needs to continue to research the various funding possibilities.
