Public Works Staff can and will remove campaign signs that are obviously located in a ROW. <br /> City Staff may also remove campaign signs within County and State ROW. In fairness to all <br /> candidates, enforcement of this State law should occur uniformly throughout the County. He <br /> _ also suggests__contacting the candidate_or political committee prior__to_the removal of the <br /> campaign sign, which is already a practice followed by City Staff. <br /> State Statute § 21113.045 states that in any municipality, whether or not the municipality has an <br /> ordinance that regulates the size or number of noncommercial signs, all noncommercial signs of <br /> any size may be posted in any number from 46 days before the state primary in a state general <br /> election year until ten days following the state general election (Attachment Q. The City cannot <br /> have regulations that are more restrictive than this. <br /> Attachments <br /> A.
