'It <br />EN HILLS <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />MAY 2, 2012 8:00 AM <br />CITY HALL --1245 WEST HIGHWAY 96 <br />CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chair Ed von Holtum called the meeting to order at 8:01 a.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Chair Ed von Holtum, Commissioners Rob Davidson, Dan Erickson and Jim <br />Huninghake. <br />Also Present: Council Liaison Ed Werner; City Administrator Patrick Klaers, and Community <br />Development Director Jill Hutmacher. <br />1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Chair von Holtum requested the item of "How the Commission Can Best Serve the City" be <br />added to the agenda after Item 3A, State of the City. <br />It was the consensus of the Commission to accept the agenda as amended. <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />It was the consensus of the Commission to accept the February 1, 2012, and the March 7, 2012, <br />meeting minutes as presented. <br />3. UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS <br />A. State of the City <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher recapped that the City held its first business - <br />oriented State of the City event on September 14, 2011, the Wednesday prior to the September <br />17, 2011, Celebrating Arden Hills community event. She indicated approximately 50 people, in <br />addition to staff and Council, attended the State of the City event. She stated at the event, <br />Councilmembers gave a presentation which covered several topics and that feedback was <br />positive. <br />
