lt <br /> EN HILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2012-026 <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE DEDICATION AND DESIGNATION OF THE <br /> NEW PICNIC SHELTER TO BE INSTALLED AT VALENTINE PARK AS THE DON <br /> MESSERLY PICNIC SHELTER. <br /> WHEREAS, Don Messerly has been a long standing citizen of Arden Hills; <br /> WHEREAS, Don Messerly has dedicated countless hours of service to the betterment of <br /> the parks and trails of Arden Hills; <br /> WHEREAS, Don Messerly has served regularly on the Arden Hills Parks Trails and <br /> Recreation Committee since 1983; <br /> WHEREAS, Don Messerly has been instrumental in obtaining donations for the park <br /> system through his volunteer service time; <br /> WHEREAS, Don Messerly has worked tirelessly to improve Valentine Park; <br /> WHEREAS, Don Messerly initiated efforts to establish a prairie restoration project at <br /> Crepeau Nature Preserve; <br /> WHEREAS, Don Messerly inspires those around him to value our City and take part in <br /> its improvement; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Arden Hills dedicates and <br /> designates the new picnic shelter at Valentine Park as the Don Messerly Picnic Shelter. <br /> ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS <br /> 13th DAY OF AUGUST, 2012. <br /> David Grant, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br />
