Selection of Commissioner: <br /> For vacancies on the PC, the staff liaison to the commission will review the application <br /> materials received by the City. Application materials from the candidates will be <br /> forwarded to the Mayor and Council liaison for their comments and review. Interviews <br /> shall be conducted by the Mayor, Council liaison, Commission Chair, and staff liaison for <br /> vacancies on the PC. If necessary, individual phone interviews may be conducted by <br /> the interview panel to review the candidate pool. The interview committee will make an <br /> appointment recommendation to the City Council. <br /> Work Plan: <br /> The PC and the City Council should annually hold a joint meeting to discuss the status of <br /> the PC work plan. The City Council should annually approve the PC work plan. <br /> Communications: <br /> The liaison should make frequent updates to the City Council at the regular City Council <br /> meetings on PC activities. These updates allow the City Council an opportunity to <br /> provide feedback on PC work activities. <br />
