'It <br /> EN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: August 24, 2012 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br /> Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Susan Iverson, Director of Finance and Administrative Services <br /> Pang Silseth, Accounting Clerk <br /> SUBJECT: Adopting and Confirming Quarter 2 Special Assessments for Delinquent Utilities <br /> Background: <br /> Delinquent utility amounts are certified to Ramsey County quarterly. <br /> A list of utility accounts with a delinquent balance was compiled and notices dated July 18, <br /> 2012, were mailed. Those customers were informed of their delinquent status and were asked to <br /> make payment of the delinquent balance by August 17, 2012. Utility accounts with an unpaid <br /> delinquent balance after August 17, 2012, would be certified to Ramsey County to be added to <br /> property taxes payable in 2013. The certification amount is equal to the unpaid delinquent <br /> balance and an eight percent penalty. <br /> A list of remaining delinquent utility accounts, as of August 22, 2012, is attached.
