lt <br /> EN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: September 10, 2012 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br /> Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Amy Dietl, Deputy City Clerk <br /> SUBJECT: Walgreens Tobacco License Application <br /> Background <br /> Staff has received a tobacco license application from Walgreens #15123, located at 3585 <br /> Lexington Avenue N in Arden Hills, as well as the required Certificate of Insurance and <br /> $200 fee. <br /> The background check has been completed, and staff has been communicating with the <br /> Fire Inspector regarding inspection of the property. The property will be inspected prior <br /> to Walgreens receiving their certificate of occupancy, which is expected to occur later in <br /> September. Going forward, Walgreens will be part of the regularly scheduled Fire <br /> Inspector Report along with other businesses renewing their annual business licenses. <br /> Currently, there are six other tobacco licenses issued in the City of Arden Hills. <br /> Arden Hills Shell <br /> Arden Hills Tobacco <br /> Big Ten <br /> Blue Fox Inn <br /> Cub Foods <br /> Holiday Station <br /> Walgreens' tobacco license will be effective through the end of the calendar year and <br /> subject to renewal in 2013. <br /> Requested Action <br /> Motion by the City Council to approve the tobacco license application received by <br /> Walgreens. <br />
