ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION—SEPTEMBER 17, 2012 7
Councilmember Holden stated that she has talked with Public Works Director Maurer about the
complaints received regarding the street signals at Red Fox Road and Lexington Avenue. She
said that people are waiting for up to six revolutions of the lights before they are able to enter onto
Lexington Avenue. She wondered if a formal letter should be written to the County.
Councilmember Holden noted that there is a huge political sign on a trailer at the Holiday Inn
site, but nothing can be done about it because it is parked on private property.
Councilmember Holden inquired about the Yellow Ribbon Committee, and if no one on the
Council is interested in being a representative, then a letter should be written to let them know
that we are not interested at this time.
Mayor Grant stated that Ramsey County did not receive the DEED grant that they had applied
for. He inquired about the bridge funding and what the status is of that grant application.
City Administrator Klaers stated that he has not heard one way or another regarding bridge
funding.
City Administrator Klaers asked the Council about their availability on Monday, September 24
for a one hour special work session either before or after the regular Council meeting. He noted
that there are two topics for discussion; the recycling contract and the City Attorney RFP.
Council consensus was to schedule the special work session to immediately follow the regular
City Council meeting on Monday, September 24.
ADJOURN
Mayor Grant adjourned the Closed City Council Work Session meeting at 8:10 p.m.
Patrick Klaers David Grant
City Administrator Mayor
