EN HILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> PARKS,TRAILS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25,2012 <br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> Chair Garretson called the September 25, 2012, meeting of the Parks, Trails, and Recreation <br /> Committee to order at 6:30 pm. <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Garretson, Committee Members Don Messerly, Phil Kramlinger, <br /> Harold Petersen, Steve Scott,Nancy O'Malley, Rich Straumann, John Peck. <br /> OTHERS PRESENT: Parks and Recreation Manager Michelle Olson and Council Liaison Brenda <br /> Holden(arrived at 6:46 p.m.). <br /> ABSENT: Committee Members Jane Larson and Chuck Michaelson. <br /> 1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> MOTION: Committee Member Messerly motioned to approve the agenda seconded by <br /> Committee Member O'Malley. The motion carried unanimously (8-0). <br /> 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES—June 19,2012 <br /> MOTION: Committee Member Messerly motioned to approve the June 19, 2012, minutes, <br /> seconded by Committee Member Petersen. The motion carried unanimously (8-0). <br /> 3. REPORTS <br /> A. City Council Report <br /> Council Liaison Holden stated that at last night's Council meeting, Council voted on the <br /> design standards for multi-family homes. <br /> Ms.Holden reported that Carpet One has moved from their prior location in Roseville to <br /> Arden Plaza and that State Farm Agent Jaci Meyer who was officed off of Hwy 96 has <br /> also moved into Arden Plaza. She reported that Walgreens will take occupancy some <br /> time this fall. <br /> Ms. Holden stated that Council had discussion on where to put the Gateway sign since <br /> there are many electrical boxes located at the corner the sign was intended to be placed. <br /> This has now been sent back to staff to see if the sign could be placed on the other side of <br /> the street. <br /> Ms. Holden informed that the Department of Revenue has moved to the 3rd floor of 8 <br /> Pine Tree Drive and will be employing 122 people. <br /> Ms. Holden noted that the B2 Committee will soon be meeting to look at potential <br /> improvements. <br />
