Kellogg Boulevard, 250 Court House FAX: 651-266-8039 <br /> St. Paul, Minnesota 55102 Bonnie.Jackelen @co.ramsey.mn.us <br /> INDIVIDUALS SOUGHT FOR POSITIONS ON RAMSEY COUNTY COMMITTEES <br /> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> October 16, 2012 <br /> The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners is seeking individuals to serve on various <br /> volunteer committees and boards. <br /> CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE provides <br /> participation for the planning process of the County's Capital Improvement Program. The <br /> members advise the County Board in setting priorities on proposed capital expenditures <br /> within Ramsey County. Applicants are being sought specifically from Districts 1, 3 and 5. <br /> COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE members act in an advisory <br /> capacity to the Ramsey County Board and the St. Paul City Council. The County is <br /> interested in finding persons who work in a health or health-related field, and reside in <br /> District 3. <br /> EXTENSION COMMITTEE members encourage individuals and organizations to make the <br /> best use of University of Minnesota Extension resources, which include research and <br /> programming in the areas of horticulture and gardening, positive youth development and <br /> 4-H, family resource management, nutrition education, family development and community <br /> leadership and economic development. <br /> RAMSEY COUNTY/CITY OF SAINT PAUL HOMELESS ADVISORY BOARD advises the <br /> Saint Paul City Council and Ramsey County Board of Commissioners on issues affecting <br /> people who are experiencing homelessness and recommends policy changes to reduce <br /> and eventually eliminate homelessness in the community. Applicants are being sought for <br /> County positions representing Provider of Housing for Families, and one at-large position. <br /> LIBRARY BOARD is responsible for governing the suburban library system with branches <br /> in Roseville, Maplewood, Shoreview, White Bear Lake, Arden Hills, Mounds View and <br /> North St. Paul; ensuring that the libraries are responsive to the needs of the community; <br /> ensuring financial resources to accomplish the strategic plan; and setting library policy. <br /> (Applicants must be residents of suburban Ramsey County.) <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
