It
,`.IDENHILLS
MEMORANDUM
DATE: November 20, 2012, Agenda Item: 3.B.
TO: Parks Trails and Recreation Committee
FROM: Michelle Olson, Parks and Recreation Manager &611
SUBJECT: 2013 Goal Discussion
Background
Each year, the PTRC sets goals for the upcoming year. Attached are the approved goals from
2012. Goal setting helps the committee establish a work plan for each year. Staff provided
the approved 2012 goals at the October 16, 2012 PTRC meeting for committee review. The
consensus of the committee was to bring back the goals for discussion in November. Each
member was asked to be prepared to bring 2-4 goals for consideration.
The City Council and PTRC typically hold a joint meeting in March. This will give the PTRC
the opportunity to discuss the goals and potential projects with the Council members.
Action Requested
Staff recommends the PTRC discuss potential goals for 2013 in order to be prepared for approval
at the December or January meeting.
11202012 2013 Goal Discussion.doc
