The application was included for <br /> consideration at the City Council meeting on November 26, 2012, at which time the item <br /> was tabled. <br /> It is the understanding of staff that the Council may be interested in modifying the City <br /> Code language pertaining to gambling. <br /> Included in the packet are six examples from neighboring cities of their City Code <br /> language regarding gambling. The following include criteria prefacing that the <br /> applicant's registered place of business be either within the City or within the Trade Area <br /> as well as expenditure requirements. <br /> City of Mounds View [§518.06 (Subd.8(g)) and §518.11(Subd. 1)] <br /> City of Roseville [§304.01(C)and §304.04(B)] <br /> City of Shoreview [§708.060] <br /> City of Spring Lake Park [§115.03(B) and §115.05] <br /> City of Vadnais Heights [§127.010(2)] <br /> Council Action Requested <br /> Staff is seeking input from the Council regarding licensing conditions for premise <br /> permits. <br />
