Q1. Please use this space to give more details on answers above or list other areas of concern.
1 We purchased our home in September 2012 and the tennis court was a major Jan 5,2013 2:38 PM
plus for us since there is no playground or park within a one mile walk.We are
an active young family and losing the tennis court is a major concern for us.
We'd like to explore all other options before discussing losing the tennis courts.
Also,we did not receive any notice discussing the options (referenced in your
public hearing notice) I have contacted Mr.John Anderson to request a copy.
2 1 am not interested in a rain garden in my front yard as I have a sump pump Jan 4,2013 10:11 AM
operating in my basement now and do not need additional seepage. I do not
see any mention of work being done or the water system. Does that mean it is
considered satisfactory. We have had I believe four breaks within the last few
years with 3 adjoining lots which concerns me. Water collects at end of
driveway.
3 We are looking forward to this street improvement project. We as an association Jan 2,2013 9:09 AM
would like more information as to the care and maintenance of rain gardens.
4 The tennis court played a significant role in our decision to move here last Jan 2,2013 9:06 AM
month.
5 Since the January 14th meeting will include a discussion about rain gardens any Jan 2,2013 9:05 AM
information about the care and maintenance of rain gardns should be sent to us
and the neighborhood before the January 14th meeting. Edgewater is either icy
in the winter or has too many potholes to safely walk.
6 First of all, thank you for requesting neighborhood input in this project. My Jan 1,2013 8:13 PM
property is on the corner of Ridgewood Rd and Edgewater Ave. My side yard
borders Ridgewood and front yard faces Edgewater. I am directly across the
street(Ridgewood)from Johanna Marsh and the tennis court. I have reviewed
both street rehabilitation plans and favor the reclamation project. I have
significant concerns regarding any loss of trees along any streets as well as in
Johanna Marsh. The proposal recommends a filtration basin along Ridgewood
Rd on my property side of the street as well as a rain garden. I have a couple
questions regarding both in terms of appearance and how they may affect my
access to my back yard as my only utility and lawn care equipment access is
from the side street(Ridgewood)at the south end of my property. Additionally, I
have an irrigation system along both Ridgewood Rd and Edgewater Ave and
have questions regarding any necessary changes or relocation. If raingardens
are insufficient for storm water treatment and Johanna Marsh needs to be
considered, I favor the retention of the trees in Johanna Marsh first and then the
tennis court. And obviously, if the tennis court needs to be removed I favor a
drainage pond that is functional but environmentally and aesthetically pleasing.
Thank you for hearing my concerns.
7 1 see no reason for widening the street. We all have large driveways which take Dec 27,2012 8:09 AM
care of cars except for special events.
8 No problems with losing the tennis court. Dec 26,2012 9:05 AM
9 1 would be glad to have a rain garden on the Glenhill side of my corner lot. I am Dec 26,2012 9:04 AM
willing to have a rain garden on the Ridgewood side BUT only north of the
driveway.
3of4
