EN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: January 14, 2013 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Terry Maurer, Public Works Director ,, 6 <br /> SUBJECT: Lift Station #13 Final Payment "1�l <br /> Background <br /> The City of Arden Hills awarded Lift Station#13 Reconstruction to Minger Construction, <br /> Inc., on January 30, 2012, in the amount of$194,250.00. <br /> Discussion <br /> The base bid included a$10,000 construction allowance to be used at the discretion of the <br /> Engineer/City. Portions of the allowance were used for the landscaping requested by the <br /> adjacent property owner, installation of bollards and a couple of other minor items. The <br /> allowance not used was $2,322.60, meaning the final construction cost is $191,927.40. <br /> Subtracting previous payments and releasing all retainage results in a final payment to <br /> Minger Construction of$15,548.50. Minger has submitted all the necessary paperwork <br /> for the final payment and Seth Peterson of Bolton and Menk, the project engineer, has <br /> reviewed the work and final paperwork and has recommended payment. <br /> Council Action Requested <br /> Approve Final Payment Request #3 to Minger Construction, Inc, in the amount of <br /> $15,548.50 for the Lift Station#13 Reconstruction Improvements. <br /> City Council Meeting <br /> C:\Users\sonja.klingberg\Desktop\1-14-13 Lift Station 13 Final Payment.doc <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br />
