,ARQEN HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: January 28, 2013 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> FROM: Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> SUBJECT: Discuss JDA Interviews <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> On January 14th the City Council decided to interview four citizens to serve as the non- <br /> elected member of the Joint Development Authority. Letters have been sent to these <br /> residents regarding the February 4, 2013 interviews. At this time, I have had confirmation <br /> back from three of the applicants and I expect to hear back from the fourth applicant by <br /> Monday's meeting. <br /> At this January 28th work session, I would like to obtain some feedback from the Council <br /> on interview questions. After I receive your input, staff will put together a list of possible <br /> questions and the Council can adjust, add or delete from the final draft at the beginning of <br /> the February 4th meeting. I am not including any sample interview questions with this <br /> memo as, at this time, I don't think that we should make the draft interview questions <br /> public information. <br /> Also at tonight's work session, the Council should discuss the format for the interviews. <br /> For example, who will be asking the questions; and what criteria will be used to rank or <br /> rate the applicants. <br />
