ATTACHMENTB <br />Dualstreamrecyclablescollectionandprocessingservicesshallbethebasicservicedesignforthis <br />instructedtoseparaterecyclables <br />contract.Underthisdualstreamdesign,residentsshallcontinueto <br />intotwoprimarygroupsofmaterials:(1)allfoodbeveragecontainers,including:glass,metal,aseptic, <br />gabletopandplasticbottles;and(2)paperfiberproducts,including:newspapers,boxboard,magazines, <br />pop/beerboxes,mail,catalogs,phonebooks,Kraftbagsandcorrugatedcardboard. <br />Inaddition,residentsmayplaceclean,reusabletextilesoutseparatelyinplasticbagsoutlinedin <br />Section34ofthisAgreement.Underthis"dualstreamplus"systemprocessingshallalsobe <br />bythecategoriesascollected:paperseparatedfromcontainersseparatedfrom <br />IftheContractoratanypointaddsadditionalmaterials(suchasadditionalplastics)totheirrecyclingprogramin <br />anyothercitiesthattheyservetheContractorandtheCitywillbegindiscussionaboutaddingthosematerialsto <br />theprograminArdenHills.Inaddition,iftheContractorintendstochangethecollectionsystemfromdual <br />streamtosinglestreamtheywillnotifytheCitytobeginanegotiationofhowthatsystemwillchangeinArden <br />Hills.SuchachangewillnotoccurwithoutwrittenapprovaloftheCity. <br />6. <br />TheContractorwillinvoicetheCityofArdenHillsonamonthlybasisandtheCitywillpaythecontractornolater <br />thannet30daysofreceiptoftheinvoice.Thebillingsystemwillincludethefollowingelements: <br />CityagreestopayContractor$3.27perresidentialdwellingunitreceivingcurbsiderecyclingserviceper <br />monthin2013forweeklycurbsidecollectionandmarketingofrecyclables.For2013,theCitycertifiesthat <br />thereare2,479curbsideunitsthatwillreceiveservice.TheCitywillnotifytheContractorbyFebruary1of <br />eachyearwhatthecertifiednumberofcurbsideunitswillbeforthesubsequentyear. <br />CityagreestopayContractor$3.27percertifiedmultifamilydwellingunitpermonthin2013.In2013 <br />st <br />existingmultifamilypropertieswillbeinvitedtojointhe/z·äx­program.Onthe1ofeachmonththeCity <br />willnotifytheContractorofanypropertiesthathaveelectedtojointheprogramandwhattheresulting <br />increaseinthenumberofcertifiedmultifamilyunitsthatwillbeforthesubsequentmonths. <br />TheCityagreesthatthepriceperresidentialdwellingunitwillincreaseeachyearbytheConsumerPrice <br />IndexfortheUpperMidwestasdeterminedbytheFederalReserveBankofMinneapolisorbythree(3) <br />percent,whicheverisless.ThepricechangeshallgointoeffectonMarch1ofeachyear.TheCitywill <br />notifytheContractorbythelastweekofDecemberwhatthecompensationratewillbeforthe <br />subsequentcontractyear. <br />
