A. The third (3) WHEREAS paragraph should read: <br /> Land O' Lakes has generously donated significantly to the Perry <br /> • Park fund, which was used to assist in the revitalization of this <br /> community park; and <br /> B. There should be a WHEREAS paragraph that should read: Land <br /> O' Lakes employs approximately 750 individuals who have <br /> contributed to the economic vitality of the City of Arden Hills; and <br /> The Economic Development Committee also recommended sending a <br /> congratulations letter to Land O' Lakes. Dan McCallum will be drafting <br /> that letter. <br /> Jeanne Winiecki made a motion to approve Resolution No. 96-32, <br /> Resolution Congratulating Land O' Lakes on their 75th Anniversary, with <br /> the corrections stated above, and the Congratulations letter to Land <br /> O' Lakes. Ray McGraw seconded the motion. <br /> 7. MISCELLANEOUS <br /> A. Gateway Business District <br /> Welsh Companies has purchased a piece of property within <br /> Gateway Business District and submitted a preliminary site plan. <br /> Welsh has proposed a mixture of warehouse and office (30-35%). <br /> • Staff will continue to work on this proposal. <br /> Unisource Corporate Officials met on May 3rd to discuss the <br /> location of their new building next to the Welsh property,but the <br /> timing was not right. <br /> There are two (2)more purchase agreements out at this time for the <br /> Gateway Business District, but staff does not know who they are <br /> with at this time. <br /> The railspur property owner would like to sell, but the leasee does <br /> not want to sell the property. <br /> B. TCAAP <br /> Staff updated the Committee on the status of the Vento Plan. <br /> C. Cardiac Pacemakers Grant Application <br /> Cardiac Pacemakers is consolidating some of there operations from <br /> Arden Hills and Shoreview. The State had a few changes to the <br /> grant application. CPI had a slow response to the information that <br /> was requested for the grant. Part of the problem was the grant <br /> • funds authorized by DTED were reduced to $250,000 from <br /> $500,000. CPI now has signed a ten year(10)year lease <br /> agreement with Control Data for its consolidated operations. <br />
