A. The third (3) WHEREAS paragraph should read: Land O' Lakes has generously donated significantly to the Perry • Park fund, which was used to assist in the revitalization of this community park; and B. There should be a WHEREAS paragraph that should read: Land O' Lakes employs approximately 750 individuals who have contributed to the economic vitality of the City of Arden Hills; and The Economic Development Committee also recommended sending a congratulations letter to Land O' Lakes. Dan McCallum will be drafting that letter. Jeanne Winiecki made a motion to approve Resolution No. 96-32, Resolution Congratulating Land O' Lakes on their 75th Anniversary, with the corrections stated above, and the Congratulations letter to Land O' Lakes. Ray McGraw seconded the motion. 7. MISCELLANEOUS A. Gateway Business District Welsh Companies has purchased a piece of property within Gateway Business District and submitted a preliminary site plan. Welsh has proposed a mixture of warehouse and office (30-35%). • Staff will continue to work on this proposal. Unisource Corporate Officials met on May 3rd to discuss the location of their new building next to the Welsh property,but the timing was not right. There are two (2)more purchase agreements out at this time for the Gateway Business District, but staff does not know who they are with at this time. The railspur property owner would like to sell, but the leasee does not want to sell the property. B. TCAAP Staff updated the Committee on the status of the Vento Plan. C. Cardiac Pacemakers Grant Application Cardiac Pacemakers is consolidating some of there operations from Arden Hills and Shoreview. The State had a few changes to the grant application. CPI had a slow response to the information that was requested for the grant. Part of the problem was the grant • funds authorized by DTED were reduced to $250,000 from $500,000. CPI now has signed a ten year(10)year lease agreement with Control Data for its consolidated operations.
