Manufacturing Resumed Expansion Hirings in Northwest Region <br /> The Northwest region continued to show exemplary job retention and expansion over the <br /> previous four quarters. The percentage of job growth from business expansions was amona the <br /> highest of the seven state regions. while the percentage of job losses from business <br /> dissolutions and contractions was among the lowest. <br /> After a short pause during the previous quarter, manufacturing resumed active expansion <br /> hirings in the Northwest. More than one-third of the major expansion jobs in the region were <br /> created by growing manufacturing firms.
