CONSENT ITEM <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: March 11, 2013 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Amy Dietl, Deputy Clerk <br /> <br />SUBJECT: City Code Update <br /> <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Approve Ordinance 2013-002 to amend City Code Chapter 5, Sections 500.1 and 500.3 to <br />include wine in its definitions. <br /> <br />Approve publishing a summary of Ordinance 2013-002. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />At the October 29, 2012, City Council meeting, the Council approved two ordinances pertaining <br />to Zoning Code and City Code amendments regarding brewer and taproom liquor licenses. <br /> <br />At the meeting, the Council noted that the Zoning ordinance definition included wine and the <br />City Code ordinance did not. Council requested that staff update the liquor ordinance to allow <br />wine taprooms. <br /> <br />As a housekeeping item, Chapter 5, Sections 500.1 and 500.3 of the City Code have been <br />updated to be consistent with the Zoning Code definitions and to include wine.
