There was some discussion on the use of the Arden Hills Logo on the front cover or just having the cover say Arden Hills. Dan McCallum offered to take various pictures of Arden Hills for a potential design for the cover of the Marketing Brochure. It was discussed that when the draft copy of the Marketing Brochure is finished to have the Committee Members look it over and give their comments on the brochure, before the final copy is completed. 6. COUNCIL REPORT Council Liaison Aplikowski stated that the Council and Staff had a retreat and a number of issues were discussed. One of this issues discussed was the philosophy of Arden Hills as a Village versus a City. The Council approved $2,000 to go towards the Valentine Playstructure. The City is completing work on the reconstruction plans for Oak Avenue and Pascal Avenue with the residents. Carl Rundquist of the Finance Committee ® resigned after a number of years of service. The City is still working on having a citizen newsletter. Council Liaison Aplikowski requested assistance in putting a Committee together to work on the newsletter. The County will be having a meeting on March 28, 1996, regarding the reconstruction options for the Cleveland Avenue Bridge. 7. MISCELLANEOUS A. Membership The staff informed the Economic Development Committee that Ted Brausen is expected to be appointed to the Economic Development Committee. Therefore,the Economic Development Committee will have a full complement of members starting in April. B. Monthly Report The staff briefed the Committee on its activities over the past month, discussion took place on the Gateway Business District (GBD). The staff informed the Economic Development Committee that they are working with several different companies on potentially locating in the Gateway Business District.
