It was also discussed having a half of page of history on Arden Hills in the <br /> front of the brochure. <br /> There was some discussion on the use of the Arden Hills Logo on the front <br /> cover or just having the cover say Arden Hills. <br /> Dan McCallum offered to take various pictures of Arden Hills for a <br /> potential design for the cover of the Marketing Brochure. <br /> It was discussed that when the draft copy of the Marketing Brochure is <br /> finished to have the Committee Members look it over and give their <br /> comments on the brochure, before the final copy is completed. <br /> 6. COUNCIL REPORT <br /> Council Liaison Aplikowski stated that the Council and Staff had a retreat <br /> and a number of issues were discussed. One of this issues discussed was <br /> the philosophy of Arden Hills as a Village versus a City. The Council <br /> approved $2,000 to go towards the Valentine Playstructure. The City is <br /> completing work on the reconstruction plans for Oak Avenue and Pascal <br /> Avenue with the residents. Carl Rundquist of the Finance Committee <br /> ® resigned after a number of years of service. The City is still working on <br /> having a citizen newsletter. Council Liaison Aplikowski requested <br /> assistance in putting a Committee together to work on the newsletter. The <br /> County will be having a meeting on March 28, 1996, regarding the <br /> reconstruction options for the Cleveland Avenue Bridge. <br /> 7. MISCELLANEOUS <br /> A. Membership <br /> The staff informed the Economic Development Committee that <br /> Ted Brausen is expected to be appointed to the Economic <br /> Development Committee. Therefore,the Economic Development <br /> Committee will have a full complement of members starting in <br /> April. <br /> B. Monthly Report <br /> The staff briefed the Committee on its activities over the past <br /> month, discussion took place on the Gateway Business District <br /> (GBD). The staff informed the Economic Development <br /> Committee that they are working with several different companies <br /> on potentially locating in the Gateway Business District. <br />
