Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes " <br /> Wednesday,November 15, 1995 <br /> 8:00 a.m. <br /> Army Reserve Center <br /> 1. Call to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. <br /> 2. Attendance <br /> Present were: Steve Friemuth; Tom Goblirsch; Dan McCallum; Ray McGraw; Terry <br /> Nagle; Council Liaison, Beverly Aplikowski; City Administrator, Brian Fritsinger; and <br /> Community Development Director, Kevin Ringwald. <br /> Absent were: Arnold Lindberg. <br /> 3. Approval of Minutes <br /> Minutes of the October 18, 1995 regular meeting of the EDC were approved. <br /> 4. Monthly Report <br /> Staff briefed the Committee on its activities over the past month. Discussion took place <br /> on the future expansion potential for GalaGen and the status of the Phase II ERF Grant <br /> application for CPI Guidant. <br /> 5. Unfinished and New Business <br /> a. Election of new Chair <br /> No action was taken on this item. <br /> b. Recruitment of new members and direction for Committee <br /> Staff indicated that it is important that the mission of the EDC to have a full <br /> compliment of members, and that Staff was looking to EDC to recruit new <br /> members for the Committee. Discussion took place on the various sources that <br /> the members could search for potential candidates to the EDC. <br /> The Staff also informed the EDC that the City Council was meeting with all the <br /> City Committee's and that the EDC's meeting with the City Council was <br /> scheduled for December 21, 1995. The Staff informed the EDC that the purpose <br /> of this meeting was to provide the City Council and the EDC the opportunity to <br /> discuss 1995 and to set goals for 1996. Discussion took place on the direction <br /> that the EDC should take in 1996. It was concluded that this item should be a <br /> topic of further discussion at the December 20, 1995 regular meeting of the EDC. <br /> eThe Staff requested that the EDC members inform Staff, at the December <br /> meeting, if they did not wish to be re-appointed to the EDC in 1996. <br />
