ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—FEBRUARY 11, 2013 6 <br /> Councilmember Holden questioned whether cities are eligible for this grant. <br /> City Planner Beekman confirmed that cities are eligible. <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br /> motion to direct staff to move forward with an application for the Public <br /> Entity Innovation Grant(PEIG). The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> 9. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 10. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Werner reminded everyone that there are openings on the Economic <br /> Development Commission(EDC) and if anyone is interested, they should contact City Hall. <br /> Councilmember Holden noted that there is a Communications Committee meeting tomorrow <br /> night. <br /> Mayor Grant stated that he received information from the Community Awareness Emergency <br /> Y <br /> Response in regard to pipeline safety. He noted that the City is not currently a member. He <br /> passed the information on to staff. <br /> Mayor Grant noted that Northwest Youth and Family Services (NYFS) presented the City <br /> Council with a report dated January 1, 2012, through December 31, 2012. He stated that the <br /> annual contract for NYFS services is $14,674 and the total benefit received by the City is $64,125. <br /> He noted that NYFS is doing an outstanding job for the community. <br /> Mayor Grant stated that Barr Engineering, on behalf of the City of New Brighton, sent a disc <br /> containing their wellhead protection plan to the City of Arden Hills. They have asked the City to <br /> review and respond to the plan within sixty days. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Werner seconded a motion to <br /> adjourn.
