ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION FEBRUARY 19, 2013 6 <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes <br />inquired about goals 10c (work with Ramsey County on enforcement <br />issues) and 10d (research legal constraints and opportunities for enforcement) and whether the <br />new City Attorney has been made aware of the issues. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher <br />stated that the City Attorney is aware of the <br />issues and has been actively working on them. She noted that the enforcement process is in place, <br />and issues are being dealt with on a case-by-case basis. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher <br />explained that the Economic Development <br />Authority (EDA) has been meeting, and they are working on their 2013 Work Plan. She indicated <br />that there will be a State-of-the-City address in 2013 and other ideas are being discussed to <br />increase business contacts. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br />presented an overview of the Public Works goals worksheet. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant <br />inquired about the SCADA system being abandoned from the goals. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br />stated that purchasing the Omni <br />system, which is more cost-effective, there is no longer a need to pursue the SCADA system so <br />that is why it has been abandoned from the worksheet. <br /> <br /> <br />D.Lexington Station Concept PUD Review <br /> <br />City Planner Beekman <br />pt <br />review of a possible Planned Unit Development (PUD) at the southwest corner of Red Fox Road <br />and Lexington Avenue. She introduced the applicant, Nick Roberts, and two of the people who <br />are working with him on the project: Christian Hendrie, with Hoefler Architects, LLC, and Tim <br />Gilbert, with Roberts Management Group. <br /> <br />City Planner Beekman <br />explained that the applicant is present tonight seeking feedback from the <br />City Council on the development concept. She noted that a formal application will be subject to <br />the full review process, and will include a public hearing with the Planning Commission as well <br />as City Council review. <br /> <br />City Planner Beekman <br />stated that the landscaping requirements have not been discussed at this <br />time. The Roberts Development Company is looking to demolish the building and replace it with <br />approximately 15,000 square feet of retail space. She noted that they propose to remove three <br />driveways and connect the parcels for better internal circulation. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant <br />noted that the proposed intersection lines u <br />inquired if that is part of Phase I of the development plan. <br /> <br />Nick Roberts, <br />building owner and applicant, confirmed that the plan would be to line up the <br />intersections as part of Phase I. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden <br />inquired if the <br />traffic analysis. <br /> <br />
