ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—MARCH 11, 2013 6 <br /> 10. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember McClung reminded everyone that Ramsey County's Friends of the Parks is <br /> offering presales of good, quality trees. He indicated that people may purchase trees for their own <br /> yards or donate trees to the City. He stated that more information is available via brochures at <br /> City Hall or by visiting their website at www.FriendsoftheParks.org. He noted that the tree sale <br /> ends on Friday, April 19. <br /> Councilmember Werner stated that there are still openings on the Economic Development <br /> Commission (EDC), which meets once per month in the morning on the first Wednesday of every <br /> month. Please contact City Hall if interested. <br /> Councilmember Holden stated that she was looking at Claims and Payroll and saw the payment <br /> to the City of Shoreview for the community clean-up day event. She inquired if the terms of the <br /> clean-up day were going to be changing as has been discussed at previous meetings. <br /> City Administrator Klaers explained that although the City of Shoreview proposed some <br /> changes for the next clean-up event, they have decided not to make changes and the event will <br /> proceed as it has in the past. <br /> Councilmember Holmes thanked the Public Works Department for their snow removal efforts <br /> after all the snow event we have had recently. <br /> Councilmember Holmes inquired about AHATS and whether there will be another meeting to <br /> discuss potential shared use of the amenities in the Training and Community building that will be <br /> constructed near TCAAP as well as future ball fields around the site. <br /> City Administrator Klaers stated that the City opted out of contributing money towards the <br /> construction of the building; therefore, passing up on adding items inside the building. He noted <br /> that there will be continued discussion regarding the fields and possible use of the Training <br /> building. <br /> Mayor Grant requested that staff follow-up on this item and report back to the City Council at a <br /> future work session. <br /> Councilmember Holmes stated that she will not be at next week's work session. <br /> Mayor Grant stated that the Financial Planning and Analysis Committee (FPAC) will be meeting <br /> March 12 to discuss their work plan for 2013. <br /> Mayor Grant noted that the five-city area mayor's meeting will be held on March 18. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a motion to <br /> adiourn. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br />
