AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: May 21, 2013 <br /> <br />TO: Parks Trails and Recreation Committee <br /> <br />FROM: Michelle Olson, Parks and Recreation Manager <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Park Survey Question Review <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />To review the draft parks and recreation community survey and recommend approval to move <br />forward for Council review. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />One of the work items that the PTRC requested of Council at the March 18, 2013 joint meeting <br />was input on the possibility of the committee drafting a survey using Survey Monkey to seek <br />input from the residents of Arden Hills on parks and trails. The Council consensus was to allow <br />the PTRC the opportunity to put a survey together and bring back to Council for review and <br />approval. The committee put together a list of potential questions at the April meeting. <br />Attached is a draft of the survey (Attachment A). The City Council summer work session <br />schedule is very busy. Staff has tentatively put this item on a Pre-Regular Council Meeting <br />th <br />Work Session at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28. The Committee has the opportunity to <br />present the survey at that time. If that does not work, the next available time is the September <br />th <br />16 work session. <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />To review the draft parks and recreation community survey and recommend approval to move <br />forward for Council review. In addition, the committee will want to discuss attendance at the <br />May 28, 2013 City Council Pre-Regular Council Meeting Work Session. <br /> <br />
