AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: May 28, 2013 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Suburban Transit Discussion <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />Shoreview City Council member Ady Wickstrom contacted me earlier this month and requested <br />to be on a Council work session agenda to discuss transit needs in the Ramsey County Suburban <br />Communities. <br /> <br />Ady along with Ramsey County Board Commissioner Jim McDonough, White Bear Lake Mayor <br />Jo Emerson, and St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce Regional Director Jonathan Weinhagen <br />are meeting with Ramsey County suburban City Councils to discuss transit needs and how the <br />suburban community can work together to address these needs. <br /> <br />nd <br />In a late development, Ady called me on Wednesday, May 22 and told me that she could not <br />th <br />attend the May 28 meeting due to a funeral, but that at a minimum she anticipated that both Jim <br />and Jonathan would be at the work session. <br /> <br />11 <br />Page of <br /> <br />
