ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL MAY 13, 20132 <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher <br /> stated that Ramsey County held a public <br />informational meeting for the demolition and remediation project on May 7th, and approximately <br />200 people attended. The informational handout from the meeting was provided to the Council <br />and has been <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher <br /> indicated that Bolander continues to work on <br />removing hazardous building materials prior to demolition. With the exception of Building 502 <br />(the large, green building that can be seen from Highway 96), all hazardous building materials <br />should be removed by early July. Also with the exception of Building 502, all buildings are <br />expected to be demolished during the 2013 construction season. <br /> <br /> <br />B.Transportation Update <br /> <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br /> reported that work continues on the intersection of Highway 96 <br />and US 10. The hard surfaces are being removed as are utility lines. He explained that a <br />temporary access road will be built after all utilities have been relocated. It was noted that pile <br />driving will take place in the next several weeks. <br /> <br /> <br />C.Community Cleanup Day Update <br /> <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher <br /> stated that the community cleanup day event is <br />th <br />scheduled for Saturday, May 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will be held at the Ramsey <br />County Public Works Facility at 1425 Paul Kirkwold Drive. The event is sponsored by the City <br />of Arden Hills and the City of Shoreview and is open to residents of both cities. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Hutmacher <br /> explained that the structure of the event will be <br />the same as past cleanup days. Participants will pay based on the amount and type of items being <br />dropped off. Notices have been in the City newsletter for the past two months and a direct <br />mailing of fliers has been sent to residents. <br /> <br />4.
