<br />NEW BUSINESS 8-C <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: <br />June 24, 2013 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: <br /> Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: <br />Matthew Bachler, Community Development Intern <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Planning Case #13-009 <br /> Applicant: <br />StuartCo <br />Property Location: <br /> 1201 County Road E <br />Request: <br /> Planned Unit Development Amendment <br /> <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Motion to approve Planning Case 13-009 for a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Amendment at <br />1201 County Road E, based on the findings of fact and the submitted plans, as amended by the <br />five conditions in the June 24, 2013, Report to the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />On December 21, 2012, the City Council approved a Planned Unit Development (PUD) to <br />remodel the existing structure at 1201 County Road E and construct 74 residential unit <br />apartments and approximately 20,000 square feet of specialty retail space on the site in Planning <br />Case 12-019. A signage plan for the property was not included in the approved PUD. <br /> <br />The City Council approved a Site Plan Review for the property on May 13, 2013, allowing two <br />temporary wall signs each measuring 216 square feet for the E Street Flats building in Planning <br />Case 13-005. Since receiving City Council approval, the property owner has installed the two <br />signs. The signage will remain on the building until 30 days after the property receives the <br />Certificate of Occupancy, which the property owner expects to receive in August 2013. <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting an amendment to the existing PUD to include a master sign plan for <br />the property.
