ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION MAY 8, 2013 12 <br /> <br />The City has closed on the triangle parcel located at 3151 Lake Johanna Boulevard. The City <br />Council directed staff to move forward with instal <br />and landscaping the site. Staff is working with a landscape architect to design the landscaping plan <br />and it is anticipated that work will be completed on the site and the gateway sign installed in June. <br /> <br />April 29, 2013, City Council Meeting <br />Councilmember McClung stated the City Council unanimously approved a contract with Kimley- <br />Horn for the AUAR, Master Planning, and Regulations and Policies for the TCAAP site in an <br />amount not to exceed $426,004. <br /> <br />The City Council awarded a contract to repaint the south water tower located on Red Fox Road. The <br />Council directed staff to move forward with adding logos to the tower as part of the repainting <br />process. <br /> <br /> <br />B.TCAAP Update <br /> <br />Community Development Director Jill Hutmacher stated Ramsey County closed on the purchase of <br />TCAAP on April 15. The full Notice to Proceed has been issued to Bolander and Sons. Installation <br />of erosion control and the pre-demolition removal of hazardous materials (i.e., fluorescent <br />bulbs/ballasts, asbestos) has begun. Building demolition will begin in approximately two weeks. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Jill Hutmacher explained the gate at Highway Avenue/County <br />Road H will be the main gate, and everyone entering the site will need to check in at the Bolander <br />construction office. The area outside of the perimeter at Highway Avenue/County Road H will be <br />signed No Parking to eliminate conflicts with construction traffic. Barriers will be placed to separate <br />Rice Creek trail users from construction traffic. <br /> <br />It was noted the Ramsey County sheriff will be patrolling the property. Trespassing and theft of <br />building materials will be prosecuted. <br /> <br />Staff reported Ramsey County will hold a public informational meeting for the demolition and <br />remediation project on Tuesday, May 7, 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Marsden Room at the Ramsey <br />County Public Works Facility. Postcards have been mailed to residents in Arden Hills and <br />surrounding communities. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Jill Hutmacher commented the City has contracted with Kimley- <br />Horn to complete the AUAR, Master Plan, and Regulations and Policies for development. This <br />process is anticipated to take 14-18 months. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Thompson requested an update on the JDA. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Jill Hutmacher indicated the JDA met this past Monday and <br />review. She noted the Master Planning process was being discussed by the JDA at this time. <br /> <br />C. Commission and Staff Comments <br /> <br />Vice Chair Thompson wished City Planner Meagan Beekman all the best in her new position stating <br />she would be missed by all. <br /> <br />
