Culture of Planning <br />Bethel University has a culture of planning that is participator <br />driven, and committed to action. A strategic plan is the corners <br />Strategic Goals <br />these are being implemented and assessed. More important, plans <br />being developed with constituent input, are being shared broadly <br />motivating both campus action and investor interest. <br />One component of this planning culture is the campus master plan <br />between where Bethel University is today and where it would like <br />future, directed by those strategic goals and initiatives. Moreo <br />will create opportunities for more intentional, strategic uses o <br />First Impressions and Vision for the Future <br />Bethel Universitys main campus is located in Arden Hills, Minne <br />northern suburb of the Twin Cities. This location provides the a <br />suburban and urban opportunity. Maintaining the natural beauty o <br />has been an institutional commitment since its creation. With th <br />Swedish Baptist heritage that focuses on putting faith into acti <br />into symbols. <br />Members of the campus community share a vision of a student expe <br />that creates belonging (feeling valued, respected, supported and safe), <br />transformation (intellectual, spiritual, and social), and challenging experiences <br />value the intimacy and interaction afforded by the spaces on cam <br />recognize a general lack of space, inadequate instructional spac <br />absence of places that support the desired student experience. <br />Conceptual Master Plan <br />Strategic goals, space analyses, site and facilities assessments <br />Quality educational <br />work with a variety of campus constituencies resulted in a set o <br />environments <br />themes to guide the campus master plan.
