CONSENT ITEM <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: September 30, 2013 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Terry Maurer, Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: South Water Tower Rehabilitation Project - Payment No. 1 <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Approve Payment No. 1 to Classic Protective Coatings, Inc., for the South Water Tower <br />Rehabilitation Project in the amount of $151,050.00. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City of Arden Hills awarded the South Water Tower Rehabilitation Project to Classic <br />Protective Coatings, Inc., on April 29, 2013, in the amount of $783,250.00. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Payment No. 1 (a copy is attached) is in the amount of $151,050.00, after 5% retainage, and <br />covers work through August 25, 2013.
